The website http://www.caucasus-trekking.com (from now on, the "Website") runs according to the following Privacy policy. The main policy I follow is "not to be an a**hole. I respect your privacy. Below, I explain it in more detail to let you know which personal information I collect and how do I use it.
WHAT INFORMATION DO I COLLECT AND HOW IS IT USED?
Information You Voluntarily Submit to the Website: When you write me a message, subscribe to the newsletter or book a tour through one of the contact form, I will, obviously, see your email address. I use this address only for a single purpose - to reply you. Also, I empty my mailbox on a monthly basis.Automatically-Collected Information: I automatically collect certain information about you and the device with which you access the Website. For example, when you visit the Website, I will log your IP address, operating system type, browser type, referring website, pages you viewed, and the actual dates/times. I may also collect information about actions you take when using the Website, such as links clicked.
How may I use the info I collected :
- To improve and maintain the web;
- To send you my newsletter (in case you subscribed). Each newsletter contains also the unsubscribe button;
- To send you administrative communications, such as confirmation emails, updates on policies, or security alerts;
- To respond to your comments or inquiries;
THIRD-PARTY USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
My website uses several third-party service providers to handle various aspects of the Website. Each third-party service provider’s use of your personal information is dictated by their respective privacy policies. I am currently using the following third-party service providers:
- Google Analytics - I track the way use use the Website, where you click and so on. I may get your IP, referring website and so on. However, I have no way to connect this info with your identity, so whatever you do on my website, it is completely anonymous.
- MailChimp - I use this service to send out newsletters (about four in a year). They store your name and email address. Please refer to Mail Chimp’s privacy policy for further information.
COOKIES
The only cookie I use on the Website is for the Amazon. It initiates when you click on the affiliate link.
AFFILIATE PROGRAMS
The Website participates in the affiliate marketing, which is done by embedding tracking links into the Website. If you click on a link for an affiliate partnership, a cookie will be placed on your browser to track any sales for purposes of commissions.http://www.caucasus-trekking.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program which enables websites to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.com. This does not under any circumstances affect the unbiasedness of the content I provide. Commissions are the same for all items and items are included based on performance only.
Amazon and its third-party ad network, can also utilize other technologies, including cookies or JavaScript to measure the effectiveness of ads and to personalize ads. Amazon and its third-party network does not obey to the privacy policy of Caucasus Trekking but they have their own, much nicer than mine :). Check it for the information regarding their privacy, including any information on how to opt-out of their practices.
http://www.caucasus-trekking.com is also a participant in the Booking.com, SafetyWing and GetYourGuide affiliate programs. For these, applies everything written above.
NEWSLETTERS
On the Website, you may subscribe to the newsletter. All newsletters sent may contain tracking pixels. The pixel is embedded in emails and allows an analysis of the success of online marketing campaigns. Because of these tracking pixels, we may see if and when you open an email and which links within the email you click. Also, this allows the Website to adapt the content of future newsletters to the interests of the user. This behavior will not be passed on to third parties.

This includes your social security number, information regarding race or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, health information, criminal background, or trade union memberships.
